BEATLEMANIAC”

Don W. Maeder’s Thrilling Debut eBook Novel

When female city employees of Ash Lyn, California, start to die after being bilked out of their life savings and show no signs of struggle or point of entry wounds, FBI headquarters in D.C. assigns young and sexy Agent Heath Wilson to apprehend the killer. Don Maeder Bio

Don W. Maeder first became interested in the Beatles at age 11, during early January 1964, after the release of their Capital album, Meet The Beatles played over and over on his parents’ RCA Victor console by Don’s two favorite and prettiest babysitters, Anita Austin and Jeannie Wright. His dad, also named Don, was a professional drummer and had purchased a scaled, downsize drum set for his son in 1961, teaching young Don every aspect from how to hold the drumsticks, to using the left foot on the high-hat and the right foot on the bass drum. Elvis and Everly Brothers 45s used to spin on a cherished single speaker miniature record player during practice sessions while his dad was at work, but something extraordinary happened inside his adolescent soul when he heard Beatles music. He felt better connected to the beat and happier to apply the lessons he'd learned following the path of his father. Less than a week later he couldn't believe his mom would spend two whole dollars and purchase the same album he and his babysitters had relished.

Day and night, little Don soaked up the Beatles energy listening to their album while tapping away with his drumsticks. To his delight, news spread that the Beatles were coming to America as guests on the Ed Sullivan Show. Don's family gathered around the TV set that February 9th, and as soon as the impressionable 11-year-old noticed Ringo seated way in the back and the other three holding guitars stood right up front, he knew he wanted to be a guitar player. Naturally, this revelation was a huge disappointment to his father, who dreamed of having his son introduced with a swirling round of applause at band jobs that junior would be setting in for a few lively tunes. But that wasn't about to happen. Young Don couldn't be persuaded of giving up the guitar and in July, his parents gave him an electric six-string for his 12th birthday. Music lessons began immediately and by age 13, he had written his first song. After three years of lessons, young Don joined his father's band and provided all the rock ‘n’ roll numbers for the night.

To this day, he readily confesses the lads of Liverpool are his favorite band and biggest influence who inspired him with a writing ability to produce melody and lyrics of over 80 original tunes, most of them love songs, before reaching age 25. Most current, two new songs emerged in December 2012, and finished with one more in January 2013, signified as his all-time favorite titled, Satisfy the Purpose. Since then, he has been busy revising and editing his first novel, Beatlemaniac, which is now available everywhere eBooks are sold.

Don still plays professionally at least once or twice a week and specializes in the top of the charts golden oldies of the 60s, which of course includes many Beatles songs. He lives in Northern California and is working on a children’s novella, plus three short stories that should be available soon.
